Anthony William, The Medical Medium.
One of the struggles with chronic illness that people don't understand,
unless they're sick, or they've had a health challenge,
or they've been laid up for a while,
unable to just live their life like they want to,
one of the health struggles that's really hard for people
is being in the present moment.
The whole present moment thing is really difficult
because you hear it out there.
Be in the present moment.
Be in the now.
Be in the present moment.
Be aware of what's going on.
Know what's happening.
Absorb everything.
The problem is when you're sick
and you're chronically ill
and you're on mattress island or couch island
or you're having a really difficult time,
really hard to be in the present moment
because your present moment is having a struggle.
It could even be an emotional struggle,
maybe betrayal or a mental struggle of some kind.
Some kind of trust was broken, broken promises,
a huge letdown, any kind of betrayal,
any kind of issue like that.
And it's really difficult to be in the present moment.
It's like, okay, let me just sit back here.
Let me just meditate for a moment
while my mind is screaming, screaming about hardship,
screaming about being knifed in the back,
betrayed by someone, a friend or anyone,
or just a loss or some type of hardship or physically hurting.
It's like, okay, let me kick back.
I'll be in the present moment.
Let me just absorb that, take in everything.
While I'm sitting here on Mattress Island and I'm suffering
and I'm in pain and my nervous system's not cooperating with me
and I feel so down and fatigued.
I can't even get up.
And when you're in that position,
it's really hard to be in the present moment.
And a lot of people don't know this.
I've seen this for years.
People who have come to me many years ago for help,
to find answers,
would tell me,
well, the last person I talked to and sought out help for
from and I went to go see them they said you need to just be positive you need to have a positive
attitude you need to be in a in the present moment and focus on that and they just be like it's
impossible how do I do that how do I do that when I'm hurting when I don't feel good when I've been
through hell and back when I've had so many difficult times and struggles being in the
present moment is so hard when I don't feel good and my neck hurts and my back hurts. I have a
migraine all the time and I don't feel good in my body. How do I be in the present moment?
It's a huge challenge. And then you think, well, what is the present moment? Can I be in the present
moment? Oh, I'm a failure. I can't do it correctly. I can't do it right. I can't stay positive while
I'm sick and suffering. I can't think about the present moment when I'm sick and suffering. And
then the whole failure thing comes over and it's like, I can't do this right either.
And my body's not taking, my body is not healing. Something is wrong. Maybe my body's not
cooperating because it's attacking itself. Maybe it's just I'm faulty. I'm a bad person. Maybe I
created this maybe I caused it and that's why I'm sick and now I can't even be in the present moment
like so many spiritual gurus are telling people they're saying be in that present moment
and it's very hard when you're somebody who's sick and suffering and you see gurus out there
talking about that it's difficult and then you look at that guru and you're like well they're
not really sick they're in a moment in their life where there seemed they seem to be okay
They're living their life.
And then it's this thing where, does anyone understand me?
Do they really know my plight?
Do they know my suffering?
Do they know what I've been through, what I'm going through now?
And just passing it off like being the present moment or passing it off as just be positive,
it just doesn't cut it.
It doesn't.
So what I've always told people throughout the years from Spirit of Compassion, and maybe you've heard me say this before, if you've been reading medical meme information throughout the years or the books, is think about two other things.
Think about the past.
Was there a peaceful time in your past?
Was there a peaceful moment in your past?
do you have any reference going back early in your life if you don't that's okay if you don't
that's okay because if you don't i'm gonna think about the future and you can do that anyway no
matter what no matter if you had the most peace in your past what did you feel like in the past
when you were younger was there a time where you felt good where you were you were able to do
something that you can't do now. You're able to run. You're able to exercise. You remember what
it's like to play all day, exercise, and just be exhausted at the end of the day because it feels
good. It's a feel-good exhaustion. You did a lot that day. You exercised. You played. You ran around.
You did a whole bunch of things.
And then at the end of the day, you're tired.
You just eat a bunch of food.
You watch your favorite movie and you start the next day all over again.
Something that so many people take for granted because they're not sick yet.
But do you remember a time in your life going back where things seemed to be okay with your health,
with your vitality.
You felt good.
You were alive.
You felt great.
And being sick wasn't on your mind.
Struggling with chronic illness wasn't on your mind.
You have a moment in your life in the past
that you can grab onto
because going back in the past
and grabbing that is powerful
when you're struggling right now.
when you're sick with chronic illness right now,
reaching back in the past,
it's your life.
It's your life.
What that means is
you're allowed to reach back in your life
and your past,
not somebody else's,
not something that doesn't exist.
That's because this is your past.
Is there something you can grab a hold of?
Is there something
that you can go back in the past and grab onto.
That moment when you were by a lake,
that moment when you were by a beach,
that moment when you were hanging out with someone you cared about,
the moment where everything felt okay
and you were in the park
or you were taking a walk somewhere in nature
or you were just home and everything felt good
and felt at peace and felt okay?
Can you go back there?
Because that's powerful.
Because when you're struggling right now with chronic illness
and you don't feel good,
especially mystery chronic illness
where a diagnosis isn't even really
what you probably are going through
and you can get three diagnoses and four diagnoses
and this person says this, this person says that,
you're just confused.
It's really difficult when you have chronic illness like that.
And then you go back to the past and you grab onto that experience that you had.
You grab onto that time period.
Grab onto it and you say, hey, I'm going to use this now because that's yours.
That is your past.
That is your peaceful moment.
Just because that peaceful moment was years ago and it's not now or it was three years ago or two years ago
or 10 or 20 years ago,
just because it was in the past
doesn't mean you don't own it.
Because you own that peaceful moment.
You own that good moment in your life.
You actually own that.
That's yours.
That happened in real time back then.
And you have every right to have access to that
and go back to that.
So when you're struggling right now,
and you got chronic illness, and it's hard, and you're climbing up that mountain to get better,
it feels like a mountain, you can sit back, and instead of thinking about the present moment,
even though you're feeling the present moment, because that's what's so hard about it,
you're feeling the pain, you're feeling the struggle, you're feeling all that,
but you can take your consciousness and go back in the past and grab onto something that's there.
and saturate your thoughts and your neurons with it.
Another thing that's really powerful
is going in the future.
Going into the future.
There's a future self of you
that's healed and better.
There's a future self of you
that has healed,
that's strong,
feels good,
already got better.
There's a future self of you
into the future.
And that future self can come back
and talk to you now.
And say, it's going to be okay.
You're going to get there.
You're going to be where I am.
You're going to be better.
You've already done it.
You're just not there time-wise yet.
You have to connect with your future.
healthy self that's out there. You got to just relax, take a deep breath, and think about your
healthy future self. What would your healthy future self say to you now? If your future healthy self
can go back in time to right now and say to you, you're gonna heal, you're gonna get better, you're
You're going to get through this.
It's going to be okay.
You're going to be able to heal and get better and get through this.
And you're going to be okay.
Because guess what?
You've already done it.
Because there's a future self out there that's already healed.
And it's you.
And that future self knows you already healed.
Connect to your future self and say, I know I'm going to get there.
I know I'm going to be there.
so it's okay
it's okay in the moment right now
while I'm struggling
while I'm going through some kind of chronic sickness
some kind of chronic symptoms or illness
it's okay
there's a future self out there
who has healed already
and it's you
whether it's six months from now
that future self
whether it's a year from now
that future self
But yes
That's a powerful
Powerful tool
Really helpful
It's not easy when someone says
Just be positive
Just be positive
That's all
Stop being negative
If you want to be negative
You can be negative
Whatever that means
Whatever frame that is
If you don't feel good
And you're in a bad mood
Then you have every right
To be in a bad mood
every right to not feel good, every right to not be positive in the moment.
Although the medical medium community is the most positive people on the planet.
I truly believe that. I actually know that.
But if you're somebody that's struggling and you just can't keep a smile, it's okay.
It's not going to stop you from healing.
It's not going to stop you from healing if you shed a few tears and you can't keep a smile
and you don't feel good
and you can't keep that positive outlook,
it's not going to stop you from healing.
No way.
If you're somebody that's miserable right now
because you don't feel good
and you've got chronic illness,
don't feel well
and you just can't perk up,
you can't put a smile on if you wanted to,
it's going to be okay.
If you're somebody that's struggling
and you're depressed and you just don't know what to do
and you feel confused and you're just,
am I even ever going to heal?
That's not going to stop you from healing.
Those thoughts or any of it is not going to stop you from healing.
You need to know that we're allowed to feel down.
We're allowed to not feel our best emotionally, mentally, spiritually.
we're allowed to feel the way we need to feel in that moment
because we're going through something.
And keep in mind, it's not going to get in the way of healing.
It's not going to stop you from healing.
You're going to heal anyway.
You're going to heal.
You're doing the work.
You don't have to have this positive, positive outlook
every second of every day.
if you're depressed and you're sad and you're struggling and you had a really hard day,
don't be hard on yourself. It's okay. It's okay. Because there's a future self out there
that is healed because you're healing anyway. You're moving forward. It's not going to stop
you from moving forward. Take one day at a time. Keep that in your back pocket.
it's very important i'm going to talk about more of connecting with your future self and your past
self as we go along it's really important for a lot of people to know these tools because we
can feel trapped in the present moment in the present day in that present hour and it's one
of the reasons why i say when you're healing it's not day to day for a lot of people who are
struggling with chronic illness. It's hour to hour. And we're already forced to be in the present
moment when we're sick and chronically ill. So people out there who aren't sick and struggling
with chronic illness and mystery chronic illness, it's those people who are told, oh, you got to be
in the present moment because they're living their life. They're doing anything they want.
They got a million thoughts in their head. They're going places. They're doing things,
locking them down for a little meditation to be in the present moment
is hard for them in a way
and sometimes really easy but hard for them in a way
when they're so busy and doing everything they ever wanted to do out there. There's people out there that
feel great, they have resources, they can go anywhere and do anything
and those people it's like hey you need to kind of
chill out, get a meditation in and get into the present moment for a moment there.
But people who are chronically sick and chronically ill, they're in the present moment.
You become experts being in the present moment.
That's the whole point.
And in that present moment, you're struggling.
Some are even suffering greatly.
And you may know somebody who's suffering and struggling greatly out there.
You may know somebody.
And it puts us in the present moment, whether we like it or not, in so many ways.
That's why these tools are so powerful as well.
That's why reaching back into our past and grabbing onto an experience that we had,
and we hold on to that because we own it and it's ours.
And going into the future and talking to our future self has already healed.
Because you're actually a present moment expert when you have chronic illness.
And when you hear it, it's kind of like an insult out there.
Be in the present moment.
It's like, what?
I'm suffering.
I got aches and pains.
I got neurological problems.
I got severe depression.
I'm in the present moment suffering right now and struggling.
And that's why these tools are so powerful going into the past and the future for now.
Truly powerful.
Real empowerment.
Anyway.
Love you guys and proud of all of you.
Pat yourself on the back and be kind to yourself
Through the process
Many blessings
Bye now
